LAS VEGAS (January 18, 2007) – Ascend Media Gaming Group,
producer of BingoWorld Conference & Expo, the world’s largest bingo
show, is pleased to announce the addition of Bingo Mexico, a
half-day conference that will examine the rapidly evolving market
for Class II electronic bingo in Mexico. Bingo Mexico will be held
March 6, prior to the start of BingoWorld, at the South Point Hotel,
Casino and Spa in Las Vegas, and is jointly produced with Harrison &
Montoya Associates, a leading gaming advisory firm serving the Latin
American market.
“The substantial demand for casino-style gaming in Mexico at the
local level is being met by a fast-growing number of bingo halls and
sports betting facilities that offer Class II gaming machines,” said
Charles Anderer, Ascend’s director of trade events. “With a new
administration in Mexico in December, the gaming industry is focused
on the possibilities for expansion to meet both local and tourist
entertainment demands. This new year will determine if the gaming
product mix in Mexico takes another step forward.”
There are an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 electronic bingo machines
in Mexico, many at high-quality bingo parlors supplied by some of
the biggest names in the industry. Some observers estimate that the
Class II market in Mexico could grow to as large as four times its
current size.
As a result, the timing of Bingo Mexico couldn’t be better, and
many of the companies doing business in Mexico will be represented
