Expanded Bingo Mexico & Americas featured at BingoWorld

LAS VEGAS (December 19, 2007) – The expanded Bingo Mexico & Americas on March 4 will be a highlight of the 12 th annual BingoWorld Conference & Expo, the world’s largest bingo show, set for March 4-6 at the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa here.

The inaugural Bingo Mexico conference last March attracted a packed room of operators, vendors, industry analysts and others, who were treated to presentations by many of the top representatives from the bingo and gaming industry in Mexico. Bingo Mexico & Americas will expand on that success, focusing on some of the world’s most vibrant and fastest growing bingo markets throughout Latin America.

Produced jointly by BNP Media Gaming Group (formerly Ascend Media Gaming Group) and Harrison & Montoya Associates, a leading gaming advisory firm serving the Latin American market, Bingo Mexico & Americas is the only dedicated conference of its kind in the country.

“Given the importance of bingo in its many forms throughout Latin America, we thought it was appropriate to build on the Bingo Mexico concept we launched earlier this year,” said Charles Anderer, BNP’s Senior Events Manager. “There is a tremendous amount of activity in a number of countries and Bingo Mexico & Americas will help put it all into focus.”

The keynote speaker will be Licenciado Ezequiel González Matus, former Director General of Gaming in the Ministry of Interior of Mexico (Ex Director General de Juegos y Sorteos de la Secretaria de Gobernacion de Mexico) from 2004 to 2006, during one of the key periods of change in the country’s gaming legislation. His presentation will discuss the challenges in new gaming markets such as Mexico, and his view on locals versus tourist gaming markets based on his experience drawn from throughout the Americas.

Bingo Mexico & America sessions include a political and regulatory overview of Class II gaming in Mexico, where a recently-proposed tax on gaming signaled the potential willingness of the government to provide a formal regulatory structure for the growing gaming market.

A second session looks at bingo through Mexico, South America and the Caribbean, which takes many forms from traditional paper to the latest in electronic and Class II games.

The conference wraps up with a detailed look at the various types of bingo games operated throughout the region, exploring the differences in player tastes from country to country.
